How to use your client portal

Everything here is free to use and private to you and your legal team. If anything is unclear, just send us a message — we're happy to help.

Signing in with your emailed code

There is no password to remember. Enter the email address we have on file for you and press “Email me a code”. Within a minute or two you'll receive a 6-digit code by email — type it in and you're signed in.

Each code works once and expires after 10 minutes. If it doesn't arrive, check your junk or spam folder, then request a new one. Once signed in, you stay signed in on that device for about 30 days.

Sending us messages

Your portal is a private conversation with your legal team about your case. Type in the message box and press “Send” — your team sees it straight away.

When your legal team replies, we email you to let you know a reply is waiting. The email never contains the message itself — you sign in to read it, which keeps your case private.

Sending us documents

You can attach documents and photos to any message — drag files into the message box, or tap “choose files”. Photos taken on your phone are fine.

You can attach up to 25 files to one message, and each file can be up to 100 MB. Everything you send goes straight to your legal team and onto your case file.

Sending documents we've asked for

Sometimes your legal team will ask you for a set of documents — payslips, receipts, signed authorities. When they do, a “Documents we need from you” checklist appears on your case, and we may send you gentle reminders until everything is in.

Press “Upload” next to an item to send that document — each one you send is ticked off automatically, and the reminders stop once nothing is left. If an item no longer applies, your legal team can mark it as not needed.

Completing your intake form

When we start your case we may email you a link to an intake form — questions about you, your injury and your work, available in your own language.

Your answers save automatically as you type, so you can safely close the page and come back later using the same link in your email — nothing is lost. When you're finished, press the submit button at the end so your legal team receives your answers.

Texting the firm

If it's easier, you can also send an ordinary text message (SMS) to your usual Tae & Partners number. Texts about your case reach your legal team and can be added to your case file — they appear in your portal marked “via SMS”.

For documents and photos, the portal is the better option: it's secure, free, and has no size limits like texting does.
